Dudan Sadhan (Patiala), June 9, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday inaugurated a state-of-the-art Tehsil complex in Dudan Sadhan, built at a cost of ₹10.80 crore, asserting his government’s commitment to bringing governance closer to rural residents.
The new facility will house the offices of the SDM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, and other administrative departments, significantly easing access to essential services for locals. Mann emphasized that this development would save people time, money, and energy by eliminating the need to travel to Patiala’s Mini Secretariat for routine administrative tasks.
“This is not just a building; it’s a symbol of our promise to empower villages by decentralizing governance,” said Mann. He noted that the foundation stone was laid in January 2023 and that the complex had been completed within a record timeframe.
The Chief Minister pointed out that previous governments had neglected such grassroots infrastructure, forcing rural residents to face unnecessary hardships. “Unlike earlier regimes that ignored public convenience, we are building for the future,” Mann added.
He also expressed pride in the rollout of similar ultra-modern Tehsil complexes across Punjab, stating that his administration prioritizes development projects that directly improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
Highlighting the transformation underway, Mann remarked that the state had previously suffered under poor leadership but is now focused on public welfare and long-term infrastructure planning.
