Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting in Sirsa, personally reviewing public complaints across various administrative departments. Out of 19 grievances presented before the committee, the Chief Minister resolved 18 matters on the spot, deferring one remaining case for detailed review in the subsequent meeting. Former Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal was also present during the proceedings.
During the session, the Chief Minister issued firm directives to handle administrative negligence and fraudulent activity across the district. Saini ordered a vigilance investigation into a case from Ganga village involving an alleged forged land will belonging to a deceased resident. Addressing complaints against Hisar-based MS Som Corporation regarding non-installation of paid solar panels, Saini directed a comprehensive probe into the company. Strict action was ordered against police personnel involved in taking a minor’s signature on a compromise deed in a assault case, alongside directives to penalize a bank that withheld crop insurance claims despite deducting premiums under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Other instructions included investigating delayed physical possession of housing flats under the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran, auditing rejected pension cases of dependents, and rectifying irregular tubewell electricity connections issued on third-party properties. Additionally, Saini noted that new policy notifications regarding family income limits will allow minors with disabilities under 18 years to receive enhanced pension benefits.
Prior to the grievance session, Chief Minister Saini launched the 77th District-Level Van Mahotsav plantation drive at Chaudhary Devi Lal University in Sirsa. Following the environmental drive, he inaugurated two major public utility projects. He inaugurated a Vita Milk Chilling Centre in Dabwali, constructed at a cost of ₹3.30 crore with a daily storage capacity of 20,000 litres, set to benefit dairy farmers across more than 35 surrounding villages.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated an Integrated Drug Recovery Centre established at the Civil Hospital. Built at a cost of ₹90 lakh under a Corporate Social Responsibility partnership with HDFC Bank, the facility features a six-bed indoor rehabilitation ward, psychiatric and individual counseling rooms, psychological and group therapy activity spaces, and an e-library to support regional rehabilitation efforts. District Magistrate Shantanu Sharma, Superintendent of Police Deepak Saharan, and local municipal and political representatives attended the event.

During the proceedings, the Chief Minister directed specific administrative and investigative actions across multiple departments. In a land dispute from Ganga village involving alleged fraud, Saini ordered a Vigilance department probe. He also instructed officials to investigate MS Som Corporation Hisar following complaints regarding unfulfilled solar panel installations. Addressing a police procedural matter involving a minor forced to sign a compromise agreement in Rania, Saini mandated strict action against the responsible officer. Additionally, he ordered penal measures against a banking institution for withholding compensation under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana despite collecting premium deductions, demanding reimbursement with interest.
The Chief Minister reviewed public service delivery and administrative oversights in housing, pension, and utility management. On a complaint regarding physical possession and basic amenities for alloted flats in Sector 21 under the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran, Saini directed a complete investigation to clear pending cases. Regarding disability pensions, he noted that a new notification addressing family income criteria for individuals under 18 years of age would ensure benefits for eligible recipients. To resolve a long-standing tube-well connection dispute in Kalyan Nagar, Saini directed the Assistant Commissioner to investigate procedural lapses by power corporation officials and instructed that separate connections be provided to both affected farmers.
