Chhattisgarh Business Community & CHCC Achieve Major Global Milestone During Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s Toronto Visit

Toronto ( Rajeev Sharma): A significant milestone has been achieved for the Chhattisgarh business community in Canada during the visit of India’s Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, to Toronto along with one of India’s largest trade and commercial delegations.

In a major step toward strengthening international business cooperation, the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in Toronto with two leading Canadian business organizations — the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) and the Canada Hindu Chamber of Commerce (CHCC). The agreements are being widely seen as a landmark development aimed at expanding trade, investment opportunities, and long-term business collaboration between India and Canada, with a special focus on supporting entrepreneurs and industries connected to Chhattisgarh.

The North America Chhattisgarh Association (NACHA) played a key facilitative role in initiating and supporting the discussions that led to the successful signing of the MoUs.

Speaking on the occasion, the President of the Canada Hindu Chamber of Commerce (CHCC) described the partnership as a “historic step toward deeper economic engagement between Canada and India.” He stated, “This collaboration reflects the growing strength of our business communities and the immense potential for cross-border partnerships. CHCC is proud to be part of this initiative and remains committed to supporting entrepreneurs, startups, and investors in building sustainable and mutually beneficial opportunities. This is only the beginning of a stronger and more dynamic relationship between our two nations.” Business leaders noted that this development provides a strong platform for showcasing Chhattisgarh’s industrial and entrepreneurial potential on the global stage while further strengthening ties between the Indian and Canadian business ecosystems.

The partnership is expected to boost bilateral trade, cultural exchange, startup collaboration, and investment opportunities across key sectors including manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, education, and small and medium enterprises.

Community representatives added that this achievement reflects the growing global influence of the Chhattisgarh diaspora and its increasing contribution to international commerce and economic development.
