Chandigarh (National Times): The Chandigarh Administration has issued detailed instructions to all departments, schools, and local institutions to ensure massive community participation in the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, an initiative under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate patriotism and national pride.
Citizens across Chandigarh have been urged to hoist the national flag at their homes from August 13 to 15, symbolizing unity and the shared spirit of independence.
Administrator’s Call for Participation
UT Administrator and Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria encouraged residents to actively participate.
“‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is not just a celebration; it is a call to every citizen to embrace our national identity with pride. Let every home in Chandigarh reflect the spirit of unity and patriotism as we pay tribute to our Tricolour. I urge all residents, institutions, and the youth to participate and make this initiative a grand success,” he said.
Objective of the Campaign
The Chandigarh Administration emphasized that the campaign is intended to instill a sense of national pride and unity, rekindle awareness about the importance of the Tiranga, and honor the sacrifices made by freedom fighters. The initiative also aims to reinforce the values enshrined in the Constitution.
As part of the campaign, schoolchildren, government employees, community groups, and institutions are being encouraged to participate through flag-hoisting ceremonies, creative programs, and digital initiatives to make the event more engaging and inclusive.
