The incident occurred when the pilot vehicle of the convoy reportedly collided with another car coming from the wrong side. According to eyewitnesses, the minister was en route from Gurdaspur to Dera Baba Nanak after distributing compensation cheques to flood-affected farmers in villages under the Dinanagar and Khokhar areas.
