Chandigarh, February 11, 2025: The Haryana State Election Commission has announced the schedule for municipal elections, bringing the Model Code of Conduct into immediate effect. State Election Commissioner Dhanpat Singh confirmed that the elections will be conducted for Mayors and ward members in eight Municipal Corporations, along with Presidents and ward members in four Municipal Councils and 21 Municipal Committees. Chandigarh, February 11, 2025: The Haryana Government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing free bus travel for students, ensuring that school and college students can avail of the bus pass facility up to 150 km at no cost.The scheme, which has been in effect since July 5, 2024, benefits students from schools, colleges, and institutions affiliated with the Haryana Government, recognized state boards, or universities.
