Lethbridge ( Rajeev Sharma): A Taber, Alberta man wanted in connection with a disturbing case involving multiple minors has been arrested upon his return to Canada.
According to a media release from the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS), Yuvraaz Singh, a resident of Taber, was taken into custody at Vancouver International Airport on January 19 after arriving in Canada from abroad. Singh had been the subject of a Canada-wide arrest warrant following an investigation that began in April 2025 in Lethbridge. Police said officers were called to a hotel in Lethbridge to assist in recovering property when they discovered Singh in a room with six minors, one boy and five girls aged between 12 and 14 years. Investigators allege Singh met the youths through social media, transported them to various locations, booked a hotel room, and supplied them with alcohol.

A 12-year-old girl later reported she had been sexually assaulted, prompting a deeper investigation by LPS. Police further allege Singh misrepresented his age to officers, claiming to be a teenager, when he was in fact 21 years old at the time of the incident.
Following the incident, Singh left Canada before charges were laid, leading police to issue a nationwide warrant for his arrest. His return to Canada resulted in his immediate detention at Vancouver International Airport. Singh now faces multiple serious charges, including, Sexual assault, Sexual interference, Inviting sexual touching, Obstructing a peace officer.
He remains in custody in British Columbia and is expected to be transported back to Alberta to appear in court in Lethbridge. Police have emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and have urged parents and guardians to closely monitor children’s online activity and report suspicious behaviour to authorities.
