National Times Bureau :- A shocking incident unfolded near Sansarpur in Jalandhar Cantt, where a man was caught on CCTV mercilessly beating a dog with a hockey stick. The footage has gone viral, raising serious concerns among local residents. Several neighbors have filed written complaints at the Jalandhar Cantt Police Station, demanding strict action against the perpetrator.
Anju, wife of Sansarpur resident Manoj Kumar, who personally cares for stray dogs in the area, reported that a neighbor, identified as Swarnjit Singh, also known as Soni, attacked one dog with a hockey stick, killed another, and attempted to harm others. She alleged that the suspect’s habitual consumption of alcohol contributed to the violent act.
The family has preserved the entire CCTV footage and handed it over to the police, providing substantial evidence for the ongoing investigation. The complaint also includes signatures from several other local residents, reinforcing the demand for immediate legal action.
The Jalandhar Cantt Police have confirmed that they are investigating the matter with utmost seriousness. Authorities are working to identify the perpetrator and ensure appropriate legal proceedings are initiated.
