Bomb Threat Emails Trigger Evacuations in Gurugram, Ludhiana Schools on Alert

News Alert

Gurugram (Balwinder Singh): Five schools in Gurugram were evacuated on Tuesday after receiving emails warning of explosives on their premises, causing panic among students and staff. The threats prompted an immediate response from law enforcement and security agencies.

Police teams, bomb disposal units, and sniffer dog squads rushed to the schools to conduct comprehensive searches. Classrooms, corridors, and other areas were thoroughly inspected to ensure safety. As a precaution, students were sent home while authorities carried out the sweeps. Officials confirmed that no suspicious items have been found so far, and an investigation has been launched to identify the sender of the emails.

At the same time, a similar situation emerged in Ludhiana, where 10 schools and several journalists reportedly received bomb threat emails. Anti-sabotage checks are being carried out at the affected schools, although students have not been evacuated.

Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma assured the public that the situation is being closely monitored. Bomb squad teams and police personnel are conducting meticulous inspections to ensure the safety of students and staff.

These incidents underscore growing concerns about email-based threats targeting educational institutions, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and coordination between school administrations and law enforcement authorities to prevent potential harm.
