Calgary (Rajeev Sharma) : Calgary is preparing for an exciting night where the spooky spirit of Halloween meets the sparkle, music and festive energy of Diwali as BOLLOWEEN LIVE: Bollywood After Dark arrives at Murthal Dhaba on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Blending Bollywood entertainment, creative costumes, live music and late-night DJ beats, the event promises a distinctive celebration for Calgary’s South Asian community, music lovers and anyone looking to experience Halloween in a vibrant desi style. National Times is proud to be the media partner for this exciting event, helping bring its energy and entertainment to a wider audience.
Located at Murthal Dhaba, 619 A, 36 Avenue NE, Calgary, the event will bring together two festive traditions in a lively nightlife setting. Diwali is associated with light, celebration and togetherness, while Halloween offers an opportunity for imagination, theatrical costumes and playful transformation. BOLLOWEEN LIVE combines these elements with Bollywood music and dance, creating an evening designed for guests who want to celebrate with friends, enjoy live performances and experience a fresh take on Calgary’s Halloween festivities.
The highlight of the night will be the distinctive “Saints vs. Sinners” theme, inviting guests to choose their side and express their creativity through their costumes. Whether dressing as an angelic saint, a mysterious character or a mischievous sinner, attendees will have an opportunity to make a statement on the dance floor. A $100 gift card will be awarded for the best costume, adding a competitive twist to the evening and giving guests another reason to plan their looks in advance. Organizers are encouraging everyone to embrace the theme and arrive ready to participate in the fun.
The entertainment schedule is designed to keep the celebration moving well into the night. From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Karman with Zariya The Band will perform live, bringing music and performance energy to the opening part of the evening. At 11 p.m., the event will transition into a late-night DJ after-party, continuing until 2 a.m. Guests can look forward to a night centred on music, dancing and a festive atmosphere, with the live show leading into an extended party experience.
Avi from Murthal Dhaba shared information about the event, highlighting the upcoming celebration as an opportunity for Calgary residents to come together for a memorable Halloween and Diwali fusion night. With its combination of live Bollywood entertainment, themed costumes and a DJ after-party, BOLLOWEEN LIVE is designed to appeal to groups of friends, couples and nightlife enthusiasts seeking something different from a traditional Halloween gathering.
Organisers have also announced that early-bird ticket discounts are available for a limited time, making advance booking worth considering for those planning to attend. VIP tables are available for reservations, with special VIP service offered for table bookings of four. Guests interested in attending are encouraged to check the official event ticketing and reservation information for current prices, availability and booking conditions before making plans.
As Calgary’s cultural and entertainment scene continues to bring communities together through music and festivals, events like BOLLOWEEN LIVE offer an opportunity to celebrate cultural connections in a modern, energetic setting. The combination of Diwali’s festive spirit, Halloween’s costume tradition and Bollywood’s music-driven atmosphere gives the event its distinctive identity.
With the city’s partygoers preparing their costumes and groups making plans for Halloween weekend, BOLLOWEEN LIVE: Bollywood After Dark is set to bring a lively fusion of music, creativity and celebration to Murthal Dhaba. For one night, saints and sinners will share the same dance floor as Calgary celebrates Halloween and Diwali with Bollywood beats, live performances and late-night energy.
