Gurugram, July 26, 2035: E-commerce platform Blinkit, known for its pioneering 10-minute ambulance service, is now introducing in-house paramedic training to elevate emergency response standards and instill greater trust among users. The company is taking this step after identifying a widespread reluctance among people to call ambulances, even during critical situations.
Many individuals reportedly continue to opt for personal vehicles or cabs instead of ambulances, fearing delays or inadequate care during transit. Acknowledging this issue, Blinkit aims to address the emotional and medical needs of patients simultaneously by training paramedics not only in clinical procedures but also in offering comfort and assurance.
The initiative was revealed through a LinkedIn post by Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, who highlighted the underlying fear and hesitation that still surrounds emergency medical services in India. He emphasized the need to build credibility in the system by ensuring that help is not only prompt but also empathetic.
Goyal noted that the company began its ambulance service earlier this year with just five vehicles in Gurugram and has since expanded the fleet to twelve. Now, with the development of an in-house paramedic training program, Blinkit seeks to raise the benchmark in pre-hospital emergency care by combining speed with compassion.
The move reflects Blinkit’s broader vision to redefine emergency healthcare by drawing from its proven logistics capabilities. The firm is positioning itself not just as a rapid responder, but as a trusted, humane presence during medical crises.
