National Times Bureau :- The BJP has alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother was once again subjected to abuses in poll-bound Bihar, this time during RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s Bihar Adhikar Yatra.
A video from the rally in the Mahua assembly segment, held on the final day of the Yatra, captured derogatory remarks against PM Modi’s mother, which the BJP later shared. Last month, a similar controversy broke out after expletives were used against her during Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra. That incident led the BJP to file an FIR and call for a statewide bandh, triggering clashes between BJP and Congress workers in Patna near the Congress state headquarters.
Amid the fresh uproar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary hit out at the INDIA bloc, accusing Tejashwi Yadav of repeatedly insulting Modi’s late mother and undermining Bihar’s culture. He alleged that RJD workers hurled abuses at the rally while Tejashwi encouraged them, warning that “the mothers and sisters of Bihar will not forgive this abusive and thuggish behaviour.”
Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha also condemned the incident, saying that once again offensive remarks were directed at PM Modi’s mother during Tejashwi’s rally and that the RJD leader appeared to embolden his workers. He added that such conduct reflected their “disturbing mindset.”
In response, RJD MLA from Mahua, Dr. Mukesh Roushan, alleged a conspiracy, asserting that the viral video was manipulated by the BJP to malign Tejashwi Yadav and the party.
“No RJD worker or anyone present used abusive language against the Prime Minister. In the video circulated by the BJP, Tejashwi Yadav is not even heard speaking. The footage has been doctored as part of a conspiracy to tarnish the RJD’s image,” he wrote in a social media post.
