Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale’s Apology Accepted at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Preaching Ban Lifted

Amritsar (National Times): In a major religious development, Sikh preacher Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale appeared before the Panj Singh Sahibs at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and offered a heartfelt apology for his past controversial remarks. Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gargaj officially accepted his apology, and the preaching ban previously imposed on him has been lifted.

During the meeting at the highest temporal seat of Sikhism, Baba Dhadrianwale humbly acknowledged his mistakes and sought forgiveness from the Sikh community and religious leadership. Recognizing his expression of remorse, the Akal Takht Jathedar permitted him to resume Gurbani preaching, while also reminding him to uphold Sikh values and avoid any actions that could hurt the sentiments of the Sangat in the future.

As part of the protocol, the Jathedar instructed Baba Dhadrianwale to offer a deg of ₹501 at Sri Akal Takht Sahib — a symbolic act of humility and penitence.

This episode once again highlights the influential role of Sri Akal Takht Sahib in maintaining spiritual discipline within the Panth. The Panj Singh Sahibs also appealed to the global Sikh Sangat to continue promoting unity, respect for religious traditions, and adherence to Gurmat principles.

Baba Dhadrianwale’s reinstatement now places the responsibility on him to rebuild trust with the community and move forward in alignment with the Sikh maryada and collective harmony.
