Ludhiana, December 11, 2024 – Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Jairam Gadkari disclosed during the ongoing winter session of Parliament that the Ministry has spent Rs 27,000 crore on the maintenance and repair (M R) of National Highways (NHs) over the past five years. The information was shared in response to a query raised by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora from Ludhiana. The Ministry oversees a network of 1,46,195 km of National Highways, with damages reported on approximately 816 km in the current fiscal year.
