Gurpreet Singh :- Traffic violators in Amritsar will soon find challans reaching their homes as the city prepares to launch an automated online challan system powered by an extensive CCTV surveillance network. Under the new arrangement, nearly 1,300 CCTV cameras installed across major roads, intersections and busy markets will monitor vehicular movement round the clock. Authorities said the system is aimed at improving traffic discipline and reducing violations on city roads.
