Amritsar Police Recover Two More Hand Grenades Linked to ISI Network in Tarn Taran

Amritsar, October 6, 2025: Acting on precise intelligence inputs, the Amritsar Rural Police have recovered two additional hand grenades from Harpreet Singh, alias Happy or Milkha, a resident of Tarn Taran. With this recovery, the total number of grenades seized in the case has risen to four.

According to preliminary investigations, Harpreet Singh was allegedly in direct contact with handlers from Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and received the explosives through cross-border channels. Authorities suspect the weapons were intended for use in a larger terror plot targeting Punjab.

A case has been registered at Police Station Gharinda, Amritsar, and investigations are underway to uncover the wider terror network involved in the supply and distribution of explosives.

The Punjab Police reiterated their firm resolve to eliminate terror modules and curb organized crime to maintain peace and security in the state. Officials emphasized that strict action will continue against those attempting to disturb Punjab’s harmony.
