Amit Shah’s Strong Statement in Lok Sabha: “Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev Delivered Justice to Pahalgam Victims”

New Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday addressed the Lok Sabha, giving a detailed account of the government’s decisive response to the Pahalgam terror attack through Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev.

Condemning the brutal killings, Shah said, “Innocent civilians were killed in front of their families after being asked their religion. I condemn this barbaric act and express my deepest sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones.”

Terrorists Neutralised in Joint Operation

Shah revealed that in a joint operation by the Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police, three terrorists involved in the attack, Suleman (alias Faizal), Afghan, and Jibran, were eliminated.

“These terrorists, all A-category Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives, were directly responsible for the Baisaran Valley killings. Those who provided them food and shelter were detained earlier, and once the bodies of the terrorists were brought to Srinagar, they were identified by these detained individuals,” Shah stated.

He added that forensic tests in Chandigarh confirmed that the seized rifles matched the cartridges recovered from the attack site, leaving no doubt about their involvement.

Justice for Victims and a Strong Message to Pakistan

Recalling his meeting with the grieving families, Shah shared an emotional moment: “I met a woman who had been widowed just six days after her wedding. I can never forget that scene. I assure these families today, Modi ji has ensured that those who sent the terrorists were neutralised, and our security forces have killed those who committed the killings.”

Shah further criticized the Opposition for questioning the proof of Pakistan’s role in the attack: “Yesterday, former Home Minister Chidambaram ji asked what proof we have that the terrorists came from Pakistan. What does he gain by defending Pakistan? His statement indirectly gives them a clean chit.”

Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev: A Double Blow to Terror

Amit Shah emphasized that Operation Sindoor targeted those who masterminded and financed the attack from across the border, while Operation Mahadev eliminated the actual perpetrators on Indian soil. “I expected the Opposition to welcome this victory against terror, but instead their faces turned grim. What kind of politics is this?” Shah questioned.

PM Modi’s Firm Stand

Shah defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi against criticism, clarifying that during the attack, the PM was abroad on an official visit. “When such attacks happen, the PM must give a befitting reply. And Modi ji did exactly that,” Shah asserted, adding that under this government, terrorists will not go unpunished.
