Amit Shah Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for ₹825 Crore Projects in Haryana from Kurukshetra

Chandigarh, October 3 – Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Friday dedicated a series of development projects worth ₹825 crore to the people of Haryana. Speaking from the holy land of Kurukshetra, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 19 projects, covering healthcare, education, infrastructure, and law enforcement facilities.

Shah formally inaugurated five newly built nursing colleges worth ₹262.51 crore in Kheri Ramnagar (Kurukshetra), Dherdu (Kaithal), Khedawali (Panchkula), Dayalpur (Faridabad), and Arua (Faridabad). Alongside, he opened 84 new residential quarters in Police Lines, Jind, and the PWD Rest House and Block in Narnaul, constructed at a combined cost of over ₹100 crore.

The Home Minister also unveiled a two-lane bridge at RD 69.3 on the Delhi-Hisar Road built over the JLN Feeder and BSB Canal at a cost of ₹12.03 crore. He further laid the foundation for 11 projects amounting to ₹562.49 crore, including major health infrastructure. Among these are a 100-bed hospital in Assandh (Karnal) worth ₹76.19 crore, a ₹138.12 crore Maternal and Child Block at Sonipat Civil Hospital, and another ₹33 crore Maternal and Child Block at Nuh.

Additionally, Critical Care Blocks are set to be developed in Karnal, Khanpur Kalan (Sonipat), and Nuh with an investment of nearly ₹66 crore. Shah also laid foundation stones for a ₹97.73 crore district jail in Charkhi Dadri and an ₹86.17 crore district jail in Panchkula. Infrastructure upgrades include the strengthening of the Kharkhoda–Delhi Border Road in Rohtak (₹25.04 crore) and the construction of a Dairy Complex on Kanheli Road, Rohtak (₹13.88 crore).

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini joined Shah at the event, along with several cabinet ministers, MPs, and senior officials, underscoring the government’s focus on strengthening healthcare, law enforcement, and rural-urban connectivity in Haryana.
