National Times Bureau :- A controversy erupted after AI-generated videos and tampered images of Sri Harmandir Sahib surfaced on social media, sparking outrage among devotees.
Head Granthi of the holy shrine, Giani Raghubir Singh, condemned the incident, calling it a deeply unfortunate and unacceptable act. He emphasized that the sanctity of Sri Harmandir Sahib, a symbol of peace and interfaith harmony, must never be compromised.
The management of Sri Darbar Sahib has lodged a formal complaint with the Police Commissioner of Amritsar. Acting swiftly, police registered an FIR and assured that those responsible will be arrested soon.
Authorities have urged devotees not to share or circulate such objectionable content further, warning that misuse of AI technology to tamper with religious imagery will not be tolerated.
