National Times Bureau :- A serious security lapse occurred during Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s public event on Friday, when an unidentified man disrupted the program and created chaos. Security personnel managed to escort the intruder out of the venue.
This incident comes just two days after a similar security scare on August 20, 2025, when CM Gupta was attacked during a public meeting while directly interacting with citizens. She had sustained minor injuries in that incident.
Despite the earlier attack, Gupta had stated that such incidents would not deter her from meeting people directly. Following the August 20 episode, her security was strengthened. However, on August 22, another breach took place, raising fresh concerns over her safety arrangements.
Who was behind the disruption?
According to sources, the man who caused the ruckus is suspected to be a BJP worker. He reportedly attended the event to express his displeasure over an issue with his local MLA. Police have yet to reveal his identity or provide further details about the incident.
