Calgary ( Rajeev Sharma): Advance polling for Calgary’s much-anticipated councillor elections began today, giving residents an early opportunity to cast their votes ahead of Election Day.
In Ward 5, leading candidates Reet Mushiana and Jigar Patel have urged residents to take full advantage of the advance voting period. Both emphasized the importance of civic participation in shaping the community’s future.
Jigar Patel echoed the sentiment, highlighting that advance polls provide convenience and accessibility for all voters. “Participate early and help strengthen democracy at the local level,” Patel said.
Reet Mushiana, who has been actively engaging with residents across Saddleridge, Skyview, Redstone, cityscape , Savana , taradale , castleridge and Cornerstone, encouraged everyone to make their voices heard, saying, “Your vote is your power, don’t miss this chance to decide the direction of Ward 5.”
Advance polls will remain open throughout the week at designated voting stations across Calgary. Residents can find polling locations and hours on the City of Calgary’s official election website.
