Aadhaar Card Not Mandatory for HTET 2025 Applications: Board Secretary

Chandigarh, December 31: The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani, has clarified that an Aadhaar card is not mandatory for applying to the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025.

Providing detailed information, Board Secretary Munish Sharma said that the Supreme Court has not made Aadhaar compulsory for examinations, but has only permitted its use as a valid identity document. In view of the apex court’s directions, Aadhaar is not mandatory while submitting the online application for HTET 2025. Eligible candidates can apply for the examination until January 4, 2026.

He further informed that candidates will be allowed to make online corrections in their application details on January 4 and 5, 2026. The editable fields include personal details, photograph, signature, thumb impression, level, subject selection for Levels 2 and 3, category, disability status, and home state.

The Board Secretary advised candidates to ensure timely submission of their applications and regularly visit the official website of the Board, www.bseh.org.in, to stay updated with the latest and important information related to the examination.
