Delta (Richa Walia): SaptaRang Durga Puja 2026, also known as সপ্তরং দুর্গাপূজা ১৪৩৩, will be held from October 16 to 18 at Sunbury Hall in Delta, British Columbia, bringing together communities from Northeast India, Bengali heritage and the wider Metro Vancouver region for a celebration of culture, spirituality and unity.
The three-day festival will feature sacred Durga Puja rituals, cultural performances and traditional bhog, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions of the participating communities. General admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
SaptaRang, meaning “Seven Colours,” represents the diversity of traditions, languages and memories that connect people from Northeast India. This year’s celebration marks an important milestone as community members come together to welcome Maa Durga through their first united Durga Puja.
Organizers hope the festival will honour their cultural roots, strengthen community bonds and create lasting memories for families and visitors. The gathering also provides an opportunity for people from different backgrounds to experience the traditions and festive spirit of the community.
