New Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): India has strongly condemned the repeated attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh over the past several days, including an attack on October 10 that reportedly resulted in deaths, injuries and damage to property.
In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Describing the attacks as unacceptable, the ministry stressed that strikes targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure must stop immediately.
India Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia
The MEA also conveyed India’s solidarity with the people and government of Saudi Arabia, reaffirming its support for the kingdom’s sovereignty.
India expressed hope that peace and normalcy would return to the region at the earliest, as concerns continue over attacks affecting civilian facilities and public safety.
The statement underscored New Delhi’s opposition to violence against civilians and damage to essential infrastructure, while extending support to Saudi Arabia amid the reported incidents.
