Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh has extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Indian contingent for their stellar performance at the Asian Games 2026. The national contingent delivered an impressive showing at the continental event, securing a total of 85 medals for the country across various disciplines.
Expressing immense pride over the contributions from his state, the Governor highlighted the extraordinary feat of Haryana’s athletes, who brought home 32 medals. The state’s tally featured an outstanding haul of 14 gold, 9 silver, and 9 bronze medals, underscoring Haryana’s dominant role in India’s sporting landscape.
Prof. Ghosh noted that this remarkable achievement reflects the nation’s growing sporting prowess, disciplined preparation, and sheer determination on the international stage. He emphasized that Indian athletes continue to elevate the country’s prestige through consistent dedication, rigorous training, and relentless focus.
