Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh) — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday invited global business leaders in Singapore to explore expanding industrial and investment opportunities across the state during an economic diplomacy summit organised by the Singapore Business Federation. The high-profile gathering, designed to advance bilateral commerce and trade relations between India and Singapore, was also attended by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and India’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Dr. Shilpak Ambule.
Addressing leading industrialists and commercial delegates, Saini highlighted Haryana’s pro-business regulatory policies, expanding infrastructure network, and specialized facilities established to support foreign enterprise. Emphasising that Haryana holds immense potential for sustainable manufacturing, technological expansion, and logistics, the Chief Minister urged the Singaporean corporate community to capitalise on the state’s investor-ready industrial ecosystem. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai similarly outlined emerging industrial avenues available within his own state.
Deliberations during the roundtable focused on expanding strategic ties across several core sectors, including advanced manufacturing, technology, logistics, renewable energy, education, and healthcare. Dr. Ambule reiterated the importance of deepening institutional and commercial bridges between the two economies, characterising the collaborative engagement of two Indian provincial leaders as a key step forward for regional economic diplomacy.
Expressing optimism regarding the outcome of the dialogue, Saini observed that ongoing bilateral forums of this nature will open fresh avenues for joint ventures, trade expansion, and technological transfer. The delegation accompanying the Chief Minister included Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Industries and Commerce Commissioner-Secretary Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Director General Yash Garg, Information and Public Relations Director Dr. Aditya Dahiya, HSIIDC Managing Director Vinay Pratap Singh, Additional Managing Director Aniruddh Yadav, as well as Singapore Business Federation Chairman Mark Lee and council member Prasoon Mukherjee.
