Jaipur (Gurpreet Singh) — In a major burglary, thieves allegedly stole 251 luxury watches from a Rolex retail outlet situated along Tonk Road in Jaipur during the early hours of Thursday, according to local police officials.
The coordinated heist took place at a premier watch showroom operating under the jurisdiction of the Bajaj Nagar police station. Investigators suspect a gang of more than five individuals carried out the operation in approximately 36 minutes before fleeing the area.
Preliminary analysis of internal closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage revealed that two masked intruders entered the retail space and systematically stripped the display counters, packing the high-end timepieces into large bags. At the same time, three to four accomplices were positioned outside keeping watch.
Police said the perpetrators gained entry after forcing open the showroom’s main security shutter using an iron crowbar. The management reported a total inventory loss of 251 watches following a preliminary stock assessment conducted after the break-in was discovered.
Law enforcement teams and forensic experts have initiated an investigation into the matter. Specialized police squads are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the showroom and surrounding vehicular corridors along Tonk Road to determine the identities of the suspects and trace their escape routes.
