Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goel convened a meeting of the working committee at the Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh on Tuesday to review civic development projects and approve tender rates for multiple municipal bodies. Additional Chief Secretary Ashok Meena, senior department officials, and civic body chairpersons attended the deliberations to discuss key public amenity proposals.
A major focus of the meeting centered on long-term solid waste management across urban areas. The panel evaluated a comprehensive three-year solid waste management proposal covering the Hisar Municipal Corporation alongside Hansi, Barwala, Uklana, Narnaund, and Siwani. The agenda also incorporated detailed plans for door-to-door solid waste collection in Naraingarh and the Barada municipal area.
The committee reviewed infrastructure projects under state welfare initiatives, including the construction of a dedicated children’s park in Palwal under the Divya Nagar Yojana. Proposals were also examined for setting up a digital library inside the old office premises of the Meham Municipal Committee to expand modern educational resources for residents.
Minister Goel directed administrative officials to enforce departmental policies and statutory norms during project execution. Instructing authorities to organize stakeholder consultations, the minister stressed that every phase of the tendering process must be completed with total transparency and administrative accountability.
