BIG NIGHT FOR MARK CARNEY! LIBERALS SEIZE BYELECTION MOMENTUM, WINS ALL SEATS

Toronto (Rajeev Sharma)/ Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberals have scored a major political victory, winning federal byelections and securing all seats to retain their majority government.

The results send a strong message to Canada’s opposition parties, with the Liberals making a major breakthrough in Chicoutimi–Le Fjord, Quebec, while also securing victory in North Vancouver–Capilano, British Columbia. The Liberals also held Beaches–East York in Ontario, reinforcing their position in Parliament.

The B.C. victory in North Vancouver–Capilano is particularly significant, with Liberal candidate Braeden Caley winning the riding and adding another important seat to the government’s tally.

The byelections were closely watched as a crucial test for the Carney government, particularly amid renewed trade tensions with the United States. The Liberal victories give Carney fresh political momentum as his government faces major economic and international challenges.

With six more federal byelections expected in the coming months, tonight’s results could prove to be an important turning point in Canada’s political landscape.

The message from voters tonight is clear: the Liberals remain firmly in control of Parliament—and the Carney government is not backing down
