Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): Punjabi actor Binnu Dhillon has criticised Air India after claiming that he and his family faced inconvenience during a flight to Vancouver, Canada, due to malfunctioning Business Class seats. The actor shared his experience through a video on social media, which has since attracted widespread attention from fans.
Dhillon was travelling to Canada for promotional events related to Carry on Jatta when the issue reportedly surfaced. According to him, several premium-class seats on the aircraft were not functioning as expected, preventing passengers from using the recline feature during the long international journey.
In the video, the actor alleged that passengers were informed about the problem only after boarding the flight. He questioned why the airline had not communicated the issue in advance, saying travellers deserved transparency before beginning a long-haul journey.
The comedian further claimed that affected passengers were offered partial compensation, but many remained dissatisfied as they had specifically paid for Business Class comfort. He suggested that passengers should have been provided with better alternatives instead of being asked to continue the journey under uncomfortable conditions.
Expressing his frustration, Dhillon said he had previously appreciated Air India’s services but felt compelled to speak publicly after his latest experience. Using humour despite his disappointment, he jokingly remarked that reaching Canada by another means might have been easier than dealing with the situation on the flight.
The video also featured other passengers, some of whom echoed similar complaints. One traveller alleged that it was not the first time he had encountered such issues while flying on the airline, adding that many passengers appeared upset because of the delay and seating problems.
Although the incident temporarily disrupted the beginning of his Canada visit, Dhillon later shifted focus back to his professional commitments, saying he looked forward to meeting audiences during the promotions of Carry on Jatta. His video has sparked discussions online about airline accountability and passenger rights during international travel.
