New Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a clarification after a video related to NEET-UG 2026 gained traction on social media, asserting that the content is fabricated and does not reflect the reality of the examination process.
The agency stated that the entrance examination was conducted successfully across the country under strict monitoring and security arrangements. It emphasized that the claims being circulated through the viral video are misleading and have the potential to create unnecessary panic among candidates and their families.
According to officials, authorities are treating the circulation of false information seriously. The NTA said it is working in coordination with cybercrime agencies and other enforcement bodies to trace the source of the content and take action against those involved in creating or spreading it.
The clarification comes amid heightened public attention surrounding national-level competitive examinations. The agency noted that unverified videos and messages can undermine confidence in the examination process and cause distress to lakhs of students awaiting updates related to the test.
NTA urged candidates and parents to rely exclusively on announcements published through its official communication channels. It advised the public to verify information before sharing it online and to avoid amplifying rumours that have not been authenticated.
Officials reiterated that extensive surveillance mechanisms, security checks and monitoring systems were deployed during the examination to ensure transparency and fairness. The agency maintained that the conduct of NEET-UG 2026 remained unaffected by the claims circulating on social media.
As investigations continue, the NTA has appealed for responsible use of digital platforms, stressing that misinformation surrounding examinations can have far-reaching consequences for students and the integrity of the assessment system.
