Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Environment Rao Narbir Singh on Thursday laid the foundation stone of the ‘Akhand Bharatvarsh Dwar’ at Veer Savarkar Park in Rewari to mark the birth anniversary of the iconic freedom fighter and ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stated that Savarkar’s life remains an enduring symbol of unyielding courage, nationalism, and selfless service to the motherland.
Paying rich tributes, Minister Rao Narbir Singh remarked that Savarkar dedicated his entire life to the independence, integrity, and cultural nationalism of India, remaining unbroken despite facing brutal torture in the Cellular Jail of Andaman and Nicobar. He emphasized that today’s generations owe their freedom to such historic martyrs and must actively contribute to nation-building. He added that the new memorial gateway will serve as a constant source of inspiration, urging youth to follow the ideals of patriotism.
Aligning regional growth with national goals, the Minister noted that the Haryana government, led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, is working in tandem with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. He emphasized that the state administration is ensuring equitable, non-discriminatory development aimed at reaching the most marginalized sections of society.
The Minister also announced that Haryana’s highly anticipated new industrial policy will be implemented on June 1, 2026. Designed to be one of the most competitive frameworks in the country, the policy focuses extensively on streamlining ease of doing business and boosting infrastructural conveniences. Furthermore, he shared plans for a world-class Global City in Gurugram and announced that following the success of Bawal, a massive new Industrial Model Township (IMT) will be developed in the Kosli region of Rewari, set to become one of the largest industrial zones in the state.
