Haryana Set to Become Global Hub for EV and Automobile Manufacturing, Says Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced on Friday that the state government is rapidly advancing strategic initiatives to transform Haryana into the country’s premier destination for electric vehicle and automobile manufacturing. Speaking at a high-level industrial roundtable convened at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, the Chief Minister held extensive discussions with prominent global investors, diplomats, and senior bureaucratic officers to formulate an integrated automotive manufacturing ecosystem across the state. The strategic engagement featured a comprehensive case presentation from VinFast, a leading Vietnamese global EV manufacturer, highlighting potential investment avenues, land allocation frameworks, and production opportunities within the region. Following the executive meeting, Chief Minister Saini personally test-drove an electric vehicle presented by the manufacturing delegation to assess its technological features.

The Chief Minister emphasized that Haryana’s rapid industrialization is anchored by its transparent policy frameworks, robust law and order, highly skilled technical workforce, and world-class logistical connectivity. He noted that the state’s proximity to the Delhi-National Capital Region, combined with an expansive network of national highways and freight corridors, makes it the most viable destination for the automotive and clean-mobility sectors. Saini reiterated that the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Centre is actively facilitating large-scale investments through a streamlined, time-bound single-window clearance system, significantly enhancing the ease of doing business and minimizing bureaucratic delays for international corporations.

To catalyze green energy transitions and sustainable industrial growth, the state is offering tailored fiscal incentives for battery production facilities, ancillary auto-component units, and dedicated research and development centers. The strategic meeting saw the participation of several high-ranking dignitaries, including Haryana Industry Minister Rao Narbir Singh, VinGroup Asia CEO and VinFast India Managing Director Ambassador Pham Sanh Chau, IFS Secretary (South) Dr. Neina Malhotra, Haryana Industry and Commerce Commissioner-cum-Secretary Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, and Director General Dr. Yash Garg. Officials expressed immense confidence that this close coordination between the public sector and global industrial giants will solidify Haryana’s footprint in the global electric mobility landscape.
