Gunshots Fired at Cricket Canada President’s Surrey Home Amid Ongoing Scrutiny and Criminal Investigation Links

Surrey ( Rajeev Sharma): A residence belonging to the president of Cricket Canada was targeted in a shooting incident in Surrey, British Columbia, police confirm. According to investigators, multiple gunshots were fired at the occupied home, but no injuries were reported. Police say the incident appears to be a targeted attack, with early indications suggesting it may be linked to extortion, though the motive has not yet been confirmed. Officers continue to process evidence from the scene as the investigation remains active.

The incident comes at a time of increased scrutiny around Cricket Canada following a recent investigative report by The Fifth Estate, which raised broader allegations involving corruption, potential organized crime influence, and alleged attempts to manipulate aspects of cricket matches involving certain senior figures within the organization. Those accused have denied all allegations.

The report also referenced claims involving an individual identified as Khosa, who has maintained his position as president of Cricket B.C. It alleged that he had connections to local players who claimed affiliation with the Bishnoi gang and were said to have threatened a national men’s player in 2025. Khosa has previously denied these allegations.

While police have not officially linked the shooting to any of the reported allegations, investigators are examining all possible motives as part of the ongoing case. Authorities are asking anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the area to come forward and assist with the investigation.
