Airdrie (Rajeev Sharma): The Airdrie RCMP say two Calgary men are facing serious charges following a violent targeted incident that took place on May 15 near Bayside Boulevard and 8 Street.
According to police, the incident began when a white Dodge Caravan was allegedly being followed by multiple suspect vehicles. Investigators say the situation escalated into a dangerous road chase, during which the victim vehicle was forced off the roadway.

RCMP report that multiple shots were fired during the incident. Emergency responders later confirmed that four people were transported to hospital for treatment. One individual sustained serious injuries, while the others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation led by Airdrie RCMP, police arrested and charged two Calgary residents in connection with the incident. Khaled Ismail, 25, and Husein Chahine, 24, both of Calgary, are each facing charges including aggravated assault, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
RCMP say both accused individuals were remanded into custody pending further court proceedings. Investigators have not released additional details about the motive, but describe the incident as targeted in nature.
Police continue to appeal to the public for any witnesses or dashcam footage that may assist the ongoing investigation.
