Vrindavan (Gurpreet Singh): Revered spiritual preacher and devotional leader Premanand Maharaj has indefinitely suspended his daily early morning padyatra (foot march) and public ekantik varta sessions due to health concerns, according to people associated with the ashram.
As per representatives and devotees connected with Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram, Maharaj Ji is currently under medical supervision and has been advised complete rest by doctors. The ashram administration stated that his health condition requires proper care, limited public interaction, and uninterrupted recovery time. The daily padyatra of Premanand Maharaj had become a major spiritual attraction in Vrindavan, with thousands of devotees gathering in the early morning hours to walk alongside him, seek blessings, and listen to devotional teachings. His ekantik varta and satsang sessions also drew large crowds from different parts of India and overseas, especially through social media platforms where his spiritual messages have gained massive popularity among youth and devotees.

In an official appeal, people linked with the ashram requested devotees not to travel to Vrindavan for darshan or attempt to gather near the ashram premises until further notice. The management emphasized that unnecessary crowds could affect Maharaj Ji’s rest and medical care arrangements. According to ashram sources, all public spiritual programs connected to Premanand Maharaj, including morning padyatra appearances and direct interaction sessions, will remain paused until doctors advise otherwise. However, regular temple rituals, prayers, and seva activities inside the ashram are continuing in a limited and disciplined manner.
The news has sparked concern and emotional reactions among followers across the country, with many devotees sharing prayers and well wishes for his speedy recovery on social media. Several followers described Maharaj Ji as a guiding spiritual force whose teachings on devotion, simplicity, Radha-Krishna bhakti, and moral living have transformed countless lives.
Ashram representatives said devotees are requested to remain patient, avoid spreading rumors regarding his health, and rely only on official updates released through authorized ashram communication channels.
Followers and saints associated with Vrindavan’s spiritual community have also appealed to devotees to pray for Premanand Maharaj’s good health and respect the privacy and medical advice being followed during this period of rest and recovery.
