Haryana Health Minister Unveils Healthcare Infrastructure Projects Worth 2.86 Crore in Gurugram

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Aarti Singh Rao, Haryana’s Minister for Health, Medical Education, Research, and Ayush, dedicated several developmental projects worth approximately 2.86 crore to the public in the Gurugram district this Thursday. Accompanied by Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, the Minister emphasized that the provincial government is committed to bringing historic changes to the healthcare sector to ensure every citizen has access to timely and quality medical care. Given that Gurugram is the most populous district in the province, she noted that the administration is focusing on expanding the health framework to meet the demands of rapid urbanization and population growth, ensuring that medical facilities are accessible and of high quality for both urban and rural residents.

Among the newly inaugurated facilities is a Block Public Health Unit in Helimandi, established at a cost of approximately 50 lakh, which will serve as a diagnostic hub for the Pataudi region. This unit is equipped to handle various laboratory tests, including those for dengue, malaria, and blood grouping, significantly reducing the need for residents to travel long distances for basic diagnostics. Additionally, the Minister opened new sub-health centres in the villages of Chandu, Noorgarh, and Mahachana, built with investments of 89.45 lakh, 81.89 lakh, and 64.83 lakh respectively. These projects are designed to improve the reach and quality of primary medical services within these rural communities, bringing modern amenities closer to the doorstep of the common man.

Looking ahead, Minister Rao announced a robust pipeline of future projects to further strengthen the local health infrastructure. Plans include the establishment of a new Primary Health Centre in Baghanki and a proposed sub-health centre in Ghamroj village. For the current financial year, the budget specifically allocates resources for eight new sub-centres and three new Primary Health Centres in Ransika, Rethoj, and Sidharwali. Furthermore, existing facilities in Daulatabad and Wazirabad will be upgraded to Community Health Centres, which will provide locals with access to specialist services and more advanced medical equipment, ensuring that the “City Beautiful’s” neighbours are just as healthy as they are prosperous.

To ensure the success of these initiatives, the Health Minister directed department officials to maintain regular monitoring of all ongoing developmental work. She stressed the importance of completing projects within their stipulated timelines while strictly adhering to high-quality construction standards to ensure these facilities are durable. Highlighting the administration’s priority of providing transparent and modern healthcare, she warned against any negligence in the execution of these projects. The ultimate goal remains to provide a seamless and high-quality medical experience that serves the public effectively for years to come.
