Tehran (Rajeev Sharma): Iranian Consulate Shares Video of Human Chain Protest Amid Rising US-Iran Tensions
Mumbai: In a symbolic display of resistance, the Iranian Consulate in Mumbai has shared a video showing citizens in Iran forming human chains around key power plants, opposing threats reportedly issued by US President Donald Trump.
The initiative, described as a people-led movement, is aimed at sending a strong message that Iranian citizens do not want their country’s critical infrastructure to be targeted or damaged.
According to reports, Iranian authorities along with youth groups encouraged people to gather around vital installations, including power plants, as a peaceful demonstration of unity and protection. The visuals, widely circulated on social media and diplomatic platforms, show large groups of people holding hands around key sites, symbolising national solidarity.
The development comes at a time of heightened tensions between the United States and Iran, following warnings about potential strikes on Iranian infrastructure, particularly energy facilities.
Observers note that such actions highlight not only the growing geopolitical strain but also the use of symbolic civilian protests to convey political messages during times of crisis.
