Threatening Emails Target Three Schools in Jalandhar, Police Step Up Security

Jalandhar (Gurpreet Singh): Panic briefly spread across parts of Jalandhar on Monday morning after three schools reported receiving emails warning of a possible bomb attack. Authorities immediately launched security checks and began an investigation to trace the source of the messages.

Among the institutions that received the threats were Cambridge School and Delhi Public School. The emails reportedly warned of an explosion at the schools, prompting officials to alert law enforcement agencies without delay.

Police teams, along with bomb disposal units, were dispatched to the campuses to conduct detailed searches as a precautionary measure. Security around the affected schools was tightened while students and staff were advised to remain calm.

According to initial information, the message also included a controversial demand related to statues of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, stating they should be removed before April 14. The sender claimed that failure to meet the demand could lead to a blast.

The threatening email further mentioned a possible attack on a train bound for Delhi, which has added to the seriousness of the investigation.

Officials have begun efforts to trace the origin of the email through cyber tracking and other technical means. Authorities are also examining whether the threat is genuine or a hoax intended to create panic.

Police have assured residents that all necessary safety measures are being taken and that investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible for the threats.
