AI and Hologram Technology Recreate Arjuna and Lord Krishna at Delhi Summit

Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): Visitors to the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi were greeted with a striking fusion of mythology and modern technology, as digital avatars of Arjuna and Lord Krishna appeared through advanced hologram displays powered by artificial intelligence.

The immersive installation, set up at the ‘Jio Intelligence’ pavilion by Reliance Industries, showcased how emerging technologies can reinterpret India’s cultural heritage. Using AI-driven visuals and projection techniques, the exhibit brought characters from the ancient epic Mahabharat to life in a futuristic format.

At the centre of the pavilion was a cove-shaped digital structure where AI-generated visuals played on curved surfaces, surrounding viewers with scenes inspired by the epic narrative. The holographic presentation allowed the legendary warrior Arjuna and his charioteer, Lord Krishna, to appear in lifelike digital form, engaging audiences with a blend of storytelling and technology.

The company also highlighted its AI-created series, “Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh,” an entirely artificial intelligence-generated retelling of the epic that was released earlier this year. Clips and still images from the series were displayed, offering attendees a glimpse into how machine learning tools were used to design characters, settings and dramatic sequences.

The showcase aimed to demonstrate the expanding role of AI in creative industries, including film production, animation and digital storytelling. By merging hologram technology with AI-generated content, the pavilion underscored how traditional narratives can be reimagined through innovation.

The AI Impact Summit has drawn policymakers, tech leaders and industry representatives to discuss advancements in artificial intelligence and its applications across sectors, with cultural storytelling emerging as one of the more visually engaging highlights of the event.
