Haryana CM Presents Nine Good Governance Awards to Departments Driving Digital Transformation

Chandigarh, December 25: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday presented nine Good Governance Awards to various state departments for their significant contribution to turning the vision of ‘Digital Haryana’ into reality. The awards included four state-level flagship scheme awards and five other state-level recognitions.

The awards were conferred during the state-level Good Governance Day programme held in Panchkula on the birth anniversaries of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and freedom fighter Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. The event highlighted the state government’s emphasis on transparency, efficiency and technology-driven administration.

The Chief Minister also honoured officers and employees who played a key role in simplifying government processes through digital platforms. Their initiatives have helped make citizen-centric services more accessible, efficient and time-bound across departments.
Among the flagship initiatives recognised at the state level were the Revenue and Disaster Management Department for introducing a smart, seamless and paperless deed registration system, and the Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Department for the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana. The Housing for All Department was awarded for its EWS plot and flat allotment policy in licensed colonies, while HARTRON was recognised for transforming skill development through future-oriented technologies.

Other state-level awards were presented to the Elementary Education Department for the ‘Padhe Rohtak, Likhe Rohtak’ initiative, and the Education Department for the ‘Kushal Business Challenge’. The Industries and Commerce Department was honoured for developing Haryana’s e-waste governance blueprint, while the Revenue and Disaster Management Department received recognition for the ‘Har Ghar Chhat’ initiative. The Finance Department was awarded for ‘e-Kuber’, marking the transition from traditional banking to e-banking.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the awards reflect the collective efforts of government employees in strengthening digital governance and improving service delivery. He added that such initiatives are laying a strong foundation for transparent and responsive administration in the state.
