Rs 21 Lakh Announced for Development of Chuhad Majra on Guru Brahmanand Ji’s Birth Anniversary

Chandigarh, December 24: Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar has announced a grant of ₹21 lakh for the overall development of Chuhad Majra village in Kaithal district, the ancestral village of Guru Brahmanand Maharaj. The announcement was made on the occasion of Guru Brahmanand Ji’s birth anniversary, reaffirming the government’s commitment to preserving the legacy of revered saints and promoting grassroots development.

Despite being unable to attend the state-level function due to health reasons, Panwar said the funds would be utilised for strengthening basic infrastructure and undertaking various public welfare works in the village. He emphasised that the development of Guru Brahmanand Ji’s birthplace remains a priority.

Panwar informed that the state-level programme held in Chuhad Majra was attended by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, along with several public representatives and saints, who paid tributes at Guru Brahmanand Ji’s birthplace and sought blessings.

Highlighting the teachings of Guru Brahmanand Ji, the minister said his message of love, social harmony, service, compassion and sacrifice continues to guide society even today. He added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is moving forward with a renewed focus on social unity and cultural resurgence, a vision that is equally reflected in Haryana’s governance.

Panwar noted that the Haryana government has been observing the birth anniversaries of saints and social reformers at the state level with reverence, including Sant Ravidas, Sant Kabir Das, Bhagwan Valmiki and Dr B.R. Ambedkar. Such events, he said, play a crucial role in spreading awareness and inspiring social transformation.

He further stated that under Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s leadership, Haryana is witnessing rapid, transparent and result-oriented development in rural infrastructure, roads, drinking water supply, employment generation and strengthening of panchayati institutions. Strong panchayats, he added, form the foundation of a strong society, a principle deeply reflected in the life and teachings of Guru Brahmanand Ji.
