National Times Bureau :- In a startling revelation, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar has alleged that the outfit’s women’s wing in Pakistan has recruited as many as 5,000 members, who are reportedly being trained and indoctrinated for potential suicide missions.
According to Azhar’s claims, the recruits are undergoing both ideological conditioning and operational training. Although independent verification of these assertions remains unavailable, the comments have sparked serious security concerns across the region, especially given JeM’s long history of involvement in major terror attacks.
Security experts say the development, if true, marks a dangerous expansion of JeM’s capabilities by involving female cadres in high-risk operations. Agencies are closely monitoring the statement to assess its implications for regional stability and counterterror operations.
Authorities in India have not issued an official response yet, but intelligence networks are said to be evaluating the authenticity and possible motives behind Azhar’s claims.
