Congress Stages ‘Halla Bol’ Protest in Kaithal Alleging Vote Theft, Crop Compensation Scam and Sand Mafia Nexus

Kaithal, November 20, 2025: Today, the Congress party held a protest march in Kaithal from Jawahar Park to Navgrah Chowk against large-scale vote theft. The protesters marched from Jawahar Park to Navgrah Chowk and submitted a memorandum addressed to the President of India to the SDM. The protest was chaired by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narendra Singh and saw the special presence of AICC General Secretary & Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala. Also present were Haryana Co-Incharge Prafull Gudde, District President Ramchandra Gurjar Dhand, Kaithal MLA Aditya Surjewala, Guhla MLA Devender Hans, Kalayat MLA Vikas Saharan, and Congress candidate from Pundri Sultan Singh Jadaula.

Addressing the gathering, Haryana Congress President Rao Narendra Singh said, “Today, from the sacred land of Kapisthal, I want to tell the all my fellow Haryanvis that our votes have been stolen on a massive scale in Haryana. The same tactic of vote theft that the BJP has been using in every corner of the country. Lakhs of bogus votes were cast and names of genuine voters were deleted.”

He added that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was absolutely right when he said that one out of every eight votes in Haryana was fake and around 25 lakh votes were stolen. “This is not merely the defeat of Congress; this is the murder of the people’s mandate. This is an attack on the Constitution and on democracy. Therefore, today we all take a pledge that we will expose the vote thieves — BJP and Narendra Modi government — and throw the vote thieves out of power.”

AICC General Secretary and MP Randeep Singh Surjewala launched a scathing attack on the BJP government and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Surjewala said that for the past one year, a blatant looting of the exchequer has been going on in Haryana. The state is being plundered under the direct patronage of the Chief Minister himself.

Surjewala alleged that the BJP has not only stolen votes but, along with Nayab Saini, has also stolen MSP and compensation for crops, detroyed and looted mountains, and destroyed any semblance of law and order.

On crop prices and compensation, he said the BJP government had promised MSP procurement of wheat, paddy, mustard, and cotton, but farmers are not getting the promised prices. Compensation for damage caused by floods and rains has been a meagre amount. Fraud in girdawari reports and massive deductions in compensation amounts are equivalent to the government stealing from the pockets of our farmers.

Referring to sand mafia, he said illegal mining is rampant from Yamunanagar, Mahendragarh, Narnaul to Faridabad. Right under the nose of the BJP government and CM Nayab Saini, stones, sand, and gravel are being looted day and night in trucks. Thousands of crores in revenue have been lost, yet the government is busy protecting the mining mafia.

Accusing the government of collapse of law and order, Surjewala said criminals are roaming freely in Haryana, women are not safe, and hooliganism is at its peak. The police work at the behest of the BJP. It is no longer the rule of law but the rule of gangsters.

Surjewala warned the BJP government that the people of Haryana have now awakened. Just as the BJP stole votes, the people will now snatch away their chairs. The coming time is the time to settle accounts with the BJP.

Haryana Co-Incharge Prafull Gudde said that when the British ruled India, Congress and Indians together liberated the country. Today, the time has come to throw out the dictatorial BJP regime ruling at the Centre and in Haryana, just like the British. By stealing votes, BJP and Narendra Modi have cheated the trust of the people of the country and the state.

Kaithal MLA Aditya Surjewala said that Congress leaders Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, after independence, ensured every citizen’s voting right through a strong democratic Constitution. But today, the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have attacked the country’s democracy and wounded the soul of the nation by stealing votes. Fake votes were manufactured from Brazil to insult Haryana’s mandate. Now the truth of BJP’s vote theft has been exposed.

Guhla MLA Devender Hans said the people of Haryana had rejected the BJP, but by stealing votes, the BJP succeeded in forming the government. The people will end this misrule born out of vote theft.

Kalayat MLA Vikas Saharan said that had the BJP not stolen votes in Haryana, Congress would have had 10 MPs and 70–80 MLAs. In the coming elections, the people of Haryana will expose the double face of the BJP.

Congress candidate from Pundri Sultan singh Jadaula said this campaign against vote theft will be taken to every home in Haryana and the vote-theft government of BJP will be exposed.

District President Ramchandra Gurjar Dhand said the time has come to throw out the Narendra Modi and BJP government that behaves like the British. The public knows how the BJP and the Election Commission together grabbed power through vote theft. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has exposed the BJP’s vote theft, in which the Election Commission is also complicit.
