India International Science Festival 2025 to Host ‘Student Science Village’ at Panjab University

Chandigarh, November 19 — In a major step toward nurturing scientific curiosity among students, the Government of India is set to organize the India International Science Festival–2025 (IISF–2025) under the joint initiative of the Ministry of Earth Sciences and the India Meteorological Department. As part of this series, the ‘Student Science Village’ program will be held at Panjab University, Chandigarh, from December 6 to 9, 2025.

A Haryana government spokesperson said that the Director General of the Directorate of Science and Technology, North, Education Department, Haryana, has been appointed as the nodal officer for the event.

As per the spokesperson, each district of Haryana will send a team of 35 students from classes 8 to 11, along with 5 teachers, to participate in the program. Separate buses will be arranged to ensure their transport to and from the venue.

The spokesperson added that special transport arrangements will also be provided to facilitate the participation of 2,000 students daily from Panchkula and nearby regions. To ensure smooth coordination, copies of the event details have been shared with the Departments of Higher Education, School Education, Transport, Tourism, Hospitality, and with the Deputy Commissioner of Panchkula.
