Mohali, November 19: The Aam Aadmi Party has appointed 14 women as block presidents to expand and strengthen its organisational structure in Mohali. The decision, taken by the party high command, aims to ensure that the policies of the Bhagwant Singh Mann–led Punjab government reach every household.
Speaking to the media, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh said that these women have been entrusted with key responsibilities at the grassroots level. He added that appointments for three more block presidents will be announced soon. The MLA was addressing a special programme organised at the AAP office in Sector 79 on the occasion of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, where he formally honoured the newly appointed leaders.

Kulwant Singh urged the block presidents to carry out their duties with sincerity, remain connected with people, understand their concerns, and work towards timely solutions. He emphasised that party workers must stand with citizens in their moments of joy and hardship.
The MLA also praised Councillor and Women’s Wing Coordinator Ramanpreet Kaur Kumbra for her efforts in strengthening the organisation. He further highlighted the contribution of 14 women working under self-help groups who visit villages to train children and youth, helping them become self-reliant and financially independent.
Kulwant Singh said that honouring individuals who serve society is essential, as recognition motivates them to continue their work and inspires others. He expressed gratitude to the women leaders and encouraged them to remain dedicated to their roles. He also offered prayers for their continued progress and wellbeing.
