Bathinda (Gurpreet Singh): In a major security operation, Bathinda police, in collaboration with Counter Intelligence Bathinda, have detained three individuals linked to the banned organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) for painting pro-Khalistan slogans on the walls of schools in Bhissiana and Mananwala villages. The operation revealed that the activities were coordinated under the guidance of USA-based SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannu.
Initial investigations suggest that the accused were attempting to provoke public unrest and spread anti-national propaganda. Authorities also uncovered evidence of foreign funding supporting these illegal activities, highlighting the cross-border nature of the threat.
Police acted promptly to prevent the situation from escalating, ensuring the safety and security of local communities. The investigation is being conducted using professional and scientific methods to ensure all responsible parties are brought to justice.
A Punjab Police spokesperson reiterated the force’s dedication to maintaining law and order across the state. “We remain committed to preventing any attempts to disturb peace and harmony in Punjab. Anti-national activities will not be tolerated,” the spokesperson said.
The arrests demonstrate Punjab Police’s proactive stance against extremist elements and foreign-backed campaigns aimed at disrupting peace in the state, reaffirming its focus on protecting citizens and educational institutions from unlawful influence.
