National Times Bureau :- A one-year-old toddler, who was kidnapped from Ludhiana Railway Station two days ago, has been safely recovered from Giaspura, police said. A woman identified as Anita has been arrested in connection with the case, along with a young man who, according to initial investigations, is the child’s foster brother.
During interrogation, the woman revealed that her previous child had died, which left her distressed for a long time. She said that upon seeing the toddler playing, she decided to take the child home to raise him. She also mentioned that she was planning to take the child to a hospital in Jalandhar for medical care.
Authorities said that CCTV footage from the railway station helped track down the suspects and facilitated the quick recovery of the child. The footage, which had gone viral, proved crucial in the investigation. Police confirmed that further inquiries are underway and strict action will be taken against all individuals involved in the incident.
