Tarn Taran, September 6, 2025: In a major development in the Jagdeep Mola murder case, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in coordination with Tarn Taran Police, has arrested the second accused, Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh, from Batth village.
Arshdeep’s arrest follows the earlier detention of the prime accused, Rahul Singh, earlier this year. Police believe both played a central role in the killing of Jagdeep Mola in March 2025, an incident that sent shockwaves through the region.
According to the investigation, two armed men, including Arshdeep, rode up on a motorcycle near Gurudwara Sri Darbar Sahib in Tarn Taran and opened fire on Mola, killing him instantly before escaping. The attack raised serious concerns about the growing nexus of organized crime in Punjab.
Police officials said the coordinated operation highlights their commitment to cracking down on gang-related violence. “The arrest of Arshdeep Singh is a testament to our relentless pursuit of justice. We will continue to target those responsible for such crimes and ensure they face the law,” an AGTF spokesperson stated.
Authorities have confirmed that the probe remains ongoing, with efforts underway to trace any additional links in the conspiracy. The arrests of both Rahul Singh and Arshdeep mark a significant step in resolving the case and restoring confidence among the public.
The Punjab Police’s intensified campaign against organized crime has drawn praise from local residents, who see these swift actions as vital to strengthening security and deterring future violence.
