The Great Garba Mahotsav Canada 2025 Set to Illuminate Calgary

Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): The Great Garba Mahotsav Canada 2025, the inaugural Garba of the season, will be organised by Dil Se Entertainment, in association with Ghanshyam Patel, on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Seven Chiefs Sportplex & Jim Starlight Centre in Calgary. Billed as one of the city’s most significant cultural celebrations, the event promises an unforgettable evening of traditional Garba, vibrant music, and community spirit.
Garba, a traditional folk dance from Gujarat, India, has become an integral part of Calgary’s South Asian community calendar, bringing together thousands each year to celebrate heritage, music, and unity. Milan & Rishabh stated that this year’s festival will be more extensive and spectacular, featuring high-energy performances, live music, and an electrifying atmosphere. To ensure maximum participation, organisers have arranged a complimentary shuttle bus service for attendees, making it easier for families and community members from across the city to attend.
“This is more than just an event, it’s a celebration of culture and community,” said Milan at Dil Se Entertainment. “We are excited to welcome everyone to kick off the Garba season with joy, dance, and togetherness.” The Great Garba Mahotsav has steadily grown in popularity, attracting not only the South Asian diaspora but also Calgarians from diverse backgrounds who come to experience the rhythm, colours, and cultural richness of Garba. With vibrant costumes, rhythmic beats, and the spirit of Navratri celebrated early, the 2025 edition is expected to draw one of the largest crowds yet. National Times is official media partner with event.
